- First Turn Off Power. We recommend that you turn your unit off at the thermostat as well as flip the breaker or turn the disconnect switch next to the outdoor unit. Safety first!
- Grab A Hose. Gather a power nozzle and hose. Hold the power nozzle about 12-14 inches from the coil at a 45-degree angle.
- Wash The Coil. Begin washing the coil starting from the top and working your way to the bottom. The coil is the metal casing outside of your a/c unit. Number 1 on the image below gives you a snapshot image. Pay close attention to the side that is closest to the house as this area tends to be the dirtiest.
